The godfather of American performance sedans sprints into the 2025 model year with its incredible, hand-built 668-hp Supercharged 6.2 Liter V-8 engine still intact. Under the surface, the car remains unchanged for ’25. Its 6.2L Supercharged V-8 that produces 668-hp and 659 lb-ft of torque, Brembo front and rear breaks, Performance Traction Management, Custom Launch Control with Line Lock, and 10-speed automatic or optional 6-speed manual transmission all remain.

Interior Updates

The 2025 Cadillac CT5 gets a huge technology boost with an all-new 33-inch-diagonal screen that stretches from the driver display into the center touchscreen as one flowing piece. The LED touchscreen offers a customizable user interface to bring a personalized experience to each owner.

The Blackwing’s new 33-inch display adds a new feature to the PDR (Performance Data Recorder), that comes standard on the Blackwing but optional on the standard CT5-V car. A new lap analyzer tool provides powerful data analysis functions, such as custom reference laps, speed trace analysis, and direct shortcuts to video playback. These functions were previously only possible in specific laptop programs. So, no more removing SD cards to analyze your track days. There is even a “speed tips” tool that will coach the driver to shave precious seconds off their lap times.

There is a new in-vehicle Performance app featuring real-time Power, torque, and boost. Live dyno graph-style trace of power and torque with interactive analysis and an array of performance gauges like g-force, tire temperature, and engine vitals, with full configurability enabling drivers to prioritize their favorite data.

Of course, OnStar is available on both the V & Blackwing, offering safety, convenience, entertainment, and driver assistance. The 33-inch LED touchscreen has Google built-in, including Google Assistant, Google Play, and Google Maps, as well as Cadillac’s Super Cruise self-driving system*. Some of the physical buttons, such as the temperature controls, have been refined for a more interactive, elevated driver experience.
*You cannot get Cadillac’s Super Cruise on a car equipped with the 6-speed manual.

The exterior of the CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing both get a redesigned grille and front fascia with black moldings matted to redesigned Cadillac stacked signature vertical lighting with LED headlamps with Mondrian pattern etching. The CT5-V cars offer three new colors for the 2025 model year, with the addition of Drift Metallic, Deep Space Metallic, and Typhoon Metallic.

The new facias offer stronger visual cues that further differentiate the CT5-V and the CT5-V Blackwing, with the Blackwing’s facia being far more aggressively styled. That mean mug is sure to frighten the rest of those Cars & Coffee attendees into parking a bit further away from your new Cadillac.

Rolex 24 Duties
